but I found this really useful having been in pain myself from my running

I am not a professional runner, but I found this really useful having been in pain myself from my running. It is really easy to read and gives some great insight into how running really affects the body. I'd recommend anyone that does any type of running read it!

Meh, it's okay but not what I had hoped ...

Meh, it's okay but not what I had hoped for. The first of the five keys basically requires an assessment by a physio or other PT, along with other body tuning, massage, etc. that involves more money than I can swing. The others are not groundbreaking. Get the right shoes, strengthen hips, get your stride and cadence right, etc.

Worth reading! Best book I've EVER read!

It's hard to get me to read a book however, once I picked up Brad's book, I could not put it down. As a health professional myself, I found it comforting that Brad focused on the psychological impact of a physical injury. I appreciate and really enjoyed reading his personal journey through injury and rehabilitation and the struggles he faced which we can all relate to. This book is suitable for all levels of runners - from novice to elite and, not just runners. This book can be applied to most sports by following the 5 steps to running/performing pain free. I valued Stage 5 - the importance of rest. Most athletes (including myself), do not allow their bodies to rest enough and just train, train, train, get injured, need physio and rehab and it's a continuing cycle. I have now implemented a rest day in my training and, I come back the next day as a new athlete - refreshed and ready to smash the training again. As a runner, I never measured or focused on my cadence however, after reading Brad's book, I have now changed and am running more efficiently. I enjoyed the book so much that I travel to the Gold Coast to see Brad as my physio. A physio that understands, is empathic, values the importance of running and, is the most genuine, caring, compassionate physio I have ever come across who truly understands and respects the client.
