An exciting adventure that had me guessing to the end...

Though this was the second book in a series, you do not have to have read the A SPY LIKE ME first.

I loved HEART OF AN ASSASSIN. The story was a fun, fast paced, exciting adventure filled with witty and clever characters. Besides, Savvy, Malcolm, and Will, I loved Malcolm and Will's family. They were so funny. And you never knew if the family was going to assassinate Savvy, teach her to become an assassin herself, or welcome her to the family.

Most of all, I enjoyed Savvy. She has a big heart, and despite the fact that she defies her mother and others in her life, she only wants to do what's right while saving those she loves.

If you love reading good mysteries or spy novels with witty characters and a good amount of romance, you'll love this story!!And this series would be the perfect Christmas gift (or whatever occasion) for those teens in your life.

Even Better Than The First

It doesn't often happen that I like a sequel even better than its predecessor, but this time I did! Savvy has come more into her own this time, a full player in the game instead of a pawn. And oh, the way she plays it turns this particular game on its head! With as many twists and turns as the dark alleys Savvy and Malcolm race down, this story will keep you turning pages until the very end.

I loved the developing relationship between Savvy and her mother, and my biggest complaint was wanting to know what had happened to Savvy's dad! What was he doing (and thinking) while Savvy and her mom were having their adventures? Maybe Laura will indulge my curiosity in a short story one of these days ... Until then, I'll just wait patiently for the next chapter in Savvy's life!

Good but crazy at times

I really, really, liked this story. It was well written and the setting was unique so right away I was intrigued.

This is the story of Rochelle and Raiden. They both own companies which produce animation and Manga. Rochelle's company is smaller then Raiden's but he agrees to do a host exchange. You can read this on the cover.

What made me like this story is Raiden. He was a very confident man who knew his own mind. It was love at first site for him and the same for Rochelle but it takes her longer to get to the point where she can admit it and accept it.

The thing you need to know about Rochelle is that she is a "thick" chick and has self esteem issues stemming from previous relationships. At times her jealously makes her do over the top and childish things. Ordinarily I would not like a heroine like her but for some reason I just couldn't totally abandon her even with her antics. Perhaps it was because she and Raiden were really good together or perhaps it's because we all have that one crazy friend who's low self esteem makes them do crazy stuff at times but they are still a sweetheart. I don't know you will have to decide once you read the story. The sex scenes in this story were amazing and the dialog was sexy and witty. I don't want to spoil the ending but there is a surprise that based on timing I am not sure if it would be possible. When you read the story, let me know your thoughts. You will get what I am saying.

Bottom line, I enjoyed the story so get this one and judge for yourself.

For those who believe in love at first sight

The Rei was the brooding alpha male type and Rochelle was the tough on the outside insecure on the inside type. I could understand Rochelle's insecurities, but most of her actions were definitely cringe worthy. I think that Rei gave up a bit too easily. Or at least, didn't put up as much effort as I in Rochelle's place would have hoped. All in all, I think the was an ok book. I would have liked to have read more about their relationship.

Its what your looking for

If you are bothered easily by complete disregard to literary rules and simple grammar/spelling mistakes, you will be in pain reading it, but the story is very entertaining. It draws you in very easily, and its hard not to put it down. I get a little irritated at Rochelle's immaturity at times and the speed of their relationship, but its a very good read,

W. J. Rorabaugh is Professor of History at the University of Washington, Seattle. His numerous books include The Alcoholic Republic: An American Tradition; Berkeley at War: The 1960s; Kennedy and the Promise of the Sixties (Cambridge University Press, 2002); and The Real Making of the President: Kennedy, Nixon, and the 1960 Election. Rorabaugh received his AB from Stanford University and his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
