Solid resource but UNREADABLE diagrams/graphics

An organized and comprehensive introduction to Ennegram Coaching. There are many helpful diagrams and charts HOWEVER they are unreadable on Kindle. If this kind of thing aggravates you -- pass on tthe Kindle version and find a hard copy.

Virtually all Cerambycidae feed on living or dead plant tissues and play a significant role in all terrestrial environments where plants are found. Larvae often utilize damaged or dead trees for their development, and through feeding on rotten wood form an important element of the saproxylic fauna, speeding energy circulation in these habitats. Many species are listed as quarantine pests because of their destructive role to the timber industry.

This second of three volumes on Australian Longhorn Beetles covers the taxonomy of genera of the Cerambycinae, with comments on natural history and morphology. One hundred and forty-two Cerambycinae genera are diagnosed and described, an illustrated key to their identification is provided, and images illustrate representatives of genera and of actual type specimens.

A full listing of all Australian species with synonymies and bibliographic citations is also included.

About the Author
Adam Slipinski did his PhD and DSc in Poland where he worked for 20 years at the Museum and Institute of Zoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, and held a joint appointment as the professor of biology at the University of Zielona Gora teaching entomology and environmental biology.

Hermes Escalona earned his PhD in Entomology from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2012. He is interested in systematics, evolution, and historical biogeography of Coleoptera, with a current focus on Longhorns beetles (Cerambycidae) and small beetle families within Cucujiformia.

This is such a great book! I, myself, am a fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber and his musicals. And now, I could impress my parent's company by playing one of the many beautiful songs of Evita. This is a MUST have for Evita fans!

Really enjoyed the selections and arrangements for most of the songs. I wish it had included Evita's Lament ("the choice was mine and mine completely"), which is really perfect for piano.

Take me home to Blue Moon - again and again!

There are plenty of reviews that will give you a synopsis of the book, so I will review the details. This book is fine as a stand alone, but do not deprive yourself of the opportunity to get to know all of the hilarious characters in the small town of Blue Moon Junction. Please visit them in The Alpha Claims A Mate, you will love the book (it is priced right) and it will have you laughing before page three which will also have you laughing at The Bobcat's Tale by page 2...

I loved the story, I related to and would want the heroine to be a personal friend. She is imperfect, aware of it and although sensitive due to her background also does her best to stand tall. The hero is total book boyfriend material here, hot and hunky with a heart of gold. This book is packed with action, some mystery, some misunderstandings with a large dose of gossip and more than one HEA.

The thing I like most about this book are the characters in the small town of Blue Moon Junction.

I sincerely hope that author Georgette St. Clair (my favorite author of 2013) will return to Blue Moon Junction often as I believe her creative mind will continue to spin many quality tales in this small town setting. I bet there are characters we've come to know with friends and visitors I am sure are already dancing in the author's head waiting to have their own story in and around Blue Moon Junction.

So fun! Had me cracking up!

I loved this book. I actually love all things Ms. St. Clair, and this book did not disappoint! Lainey was great, and I really liked her as a character. I just wish she was real because we would be great friends...I just know it! Of course the whole town was great, and their shenanigans and gossiping had me cracking up. As always, I adore the author's sense of humor, and I enjoy the subtle jokes she throws in...e.g.. "Curl up and Dye." It made me chuckle with the first book, and I am still chuckling now.

I don't want to give anything away, but I loved Tate's family and I especially loved how Lainey's job prepared her for them so that she was able to see them in the best possible light (again, subtle humor that tickles me). As a mom with 5 kids, my house is like that everyday, and I it was truly fun for me to see a "big family" in action in this book.

I liked how the H/h interacted and that there wasn't a ton of angst and drama. Oh, I do like it sometimes, but this was just a fun, lighthearted read and I really appreciated it. Great job!

A BBW bobcat shifter visits Blue Moon Junction to get away from her crazy parents and snobby ex-fiancé. She meets a hot wolf shifter that rings all the right bells for her. But to get to her happily ever after she has to deal with her insufferable mother and crazy shifters. It is a great quick read. If you like shifter romances you will like this one!

A disappointing guide to Sao Paulo

This guide book provides information on a very limited number of interesting sights in Sao Paulo. The photographs are lovely and the book is designed with a pleasing esthetic but it's essentially useless other than seeing a few of the major places to visit. There was nothing here that I didn't see online already. I glanced through it in less than 15 minutes and did not bring it on my trip to Sao Paulo.

Samuel Birley Rowbotham, under the pseudonym 'Parallax', lectured for two decades up and down Britain promoting his unique flat earth theory. This book, in which he lays out his world system, went through three editions, starting with a 16 page pamphlet published in 1849 and a second edition of 221 pages published in 1865. The third edition of 1881 (which had inflated to 430 pages) was used as the basis of this etext. Rowbotham was an accomplished debater who reputedly steamrollered all opponents, and his followers, who included many well-educated people, were equally tenacious. One of them, John Hampden, got involved in a bet with the famous naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace about the flat earth. An experiment which Hampden proposed didn't resolve the issue, and the two ended up in court in 1876. The judge ruled against Hampton, who started a long campaign of legal harassment of Wallace. Rowbotham hints at the incident in this book. Rowbotham believed that the earth is flat. The contients float on an infinite ocean which somehow has a layer of fire underneath it. The lands we know are surrounded by an infinite wilderness of ice and snow, beyond the Antarctic ocean, bordered by an immense circular ice-cliff. What we call the North Pole is in the center of the earth. The polar projection of the flat earth creates obvious discrepancies with known geography, particularly the farther south you go. Figure 54 inadvertantly illustrates this problem. The Zetetic map has a severly squashed South America and Africa, and Australia and New Zealand in the middle of the Pacific. I think that by the 19th century people would have noticed if Australia and Africa were thousands of miles further apart than expected, let alone if Africa was wider than it was long! The Zetetic Sun, moon, planets and stars are all only a few hundred miles above the surface of the earth. The sun orbits the north pole once a day at a constant altitude. The moon is both self-illuminated and semi-transparent. Eclipses can be explained by some unknown object occulting the sun or moon. Zetetic cosmology is 'faith-based', based, that is, on a literal interpretation of selected Biblical quotes. Hell is exactly as advertised, directly below us. Heaven is not a state of mind, it is a real place, somewhere above us. He uses Ussherian Biblical chronology to mock the concept that stars could be millions of light years away. He attacks the concept of a plurality of worlds because no other world than this one is mentioned in the Bible. Rowbotham never adequately explains his alternative astronomy. If the Copernican theory so adequately explains planetary motions, why discard it, and what would he use in its place? What is the sun orbiting around once a day and how does it work like a spotlight, not a 'point source'? If the moon is self-luminous, what creates its phases? If gravity appears to work here on earth, why doesn't it apply to the celestial objects just a few hundred miles up? To make his system work he had to throw out a great deal of science, including the scientific method itself, using instead what he calls a 'Zetetic' method. As far as I can see this is simply a license to employ circular reasoning (e.g., the earth is flat, hence we can see distant lighthouses, hence the earth is flat). Zetetic Astronomy is a key work of flat-earth thought, just as Donnelly's Atlantis, the Antediluvian World is still considered required reading on the subject of Atlantis. If you ever have to debate the flat earth pro or con, this book is a complete agenda of each point that you'll have to argue.

Good read, worth the $

Good book, a little tough to read with the smaller print. Many proven experiments. No one could read the book and not know that the earth is flat, unless they just want to lie to themselves..

This is a great book with documentation of experiments which you can reproduce yourself. I especially like the chart of distances of the earth's curvature where you should or shouldn't see objects any longer below the "horizon".
